I honor if you heard that next Dendry will be a great date in fleurtal History. Dr Riname - our American Prishop is coming to us to own four pieds in our little Chapel. Greet to a great joy. It is a date for me too: then four are the last morning I received in my capacity as I accepted a little later & Prior - except for one, who will be owned & role ever the same day. And now, we are in a pritiful want of maries. Except for one, who was in the day of Lourds' Hospital in Dun Lawfairs for a year, as is not expected to come back before next year, they are more - a sad gap in a young Community: freedom is the most necessary blessing of food on a foundation, & for five years we are sterile! It is a little payer at that intention. Dear.
And, as you know, that same 18th of July is the anniversary of my appointment to fleurtal. Time years since quite unexpectedly as as a Thunderton came

came upon me the commandment of John Albert! I never suspected them how full of pass & of happiness those years would be. When St. Bade explains the words of Olen Low, that whoever relinquishes all for him, he will find the hundredfold, he says that that hundredfold must be understood in this life, & he expounds it there. Whoever already essays this for John will find in return, so many pious souls who will be happy to receive him, to support him in his needs, & to compart him by their christian kindness & pridendship. Is that not equally the story of my life in Island? When I find so kind friends? when I set the mansfold support of advice, the understanding help of christian corporations? Among many friends I had in Belgium, I do not think that there is one on whom I could solly do as I to upon you - whose home, & time, & help, was ever forkening & could be called upon intrude afly, as just as being own one & property.
It is sad to see that we wrather come to us; but in the meantime so many things are repearing that were soon some years ago in the drawing room at the brooky

Park Road. Several knowledge was with us last month & we had lay chats about historical matters. But more than that work is the fact that his idea - an you remember well - of bringing the intellectual people closer to the Church & the Cathodic ideal, - by of exalting a link between flemental & the University - is now in good progress. We had last August & again during the Holy Week this year a... that I am a meeting: the phone is too formal; we simply invited some of the University, Politics Social Work people (there were Theodollar, Sedan o'Dunliver, P. J. Little, Frank Duff & o'Keen - & an artist whose name I fangeter). They lived with us (several came to see me, although I was daid up), attended the Office in the Chapel. There were no meditation, no Rosaries - the playing life of a Benedictine Community. Every day a daughter had a talk with them on some subject they chose, & at night an informal contact by one of the femlemens, followed by friendly discussion. And they were all idlehood. They felt deeply the atmosphere of peace, of controversy chieftaining & expressioned approach to the great problems of life.

And I think that it made them as much good - or more than a Retreat. I do not diminish the value of Retreats. I think a lot of power of them. But of to all, doing a Retreat, one is usually drawn into looking at one self; in such a week, they were looking at fas, & at things that matter in the light of divine daith.
And now a goy muck, intelligent & broadminded - who was already two years in Rome before joining - is going to take his M.A. next year at U.C.D. Shall I temporarily be able to introduce him to you? I'm sure you will like him, & I know that he will get much from your daily company.
I must done that long - too long later. But the amidessay of us coming over brings always a kind of hoping remembrance & of gautistic to fas & to my dear friends. Shall I see the 10th amidessay? I doubt. But I want to until until the end, even much handicapped & I am by lying perpetually in less, for the glory of fas & the welfare of India.
